I was issued an "Out of State" speeding ticket and I then contacted Ticket Takedown. They responded quickly and kept me updated within the portal as well as with texts. It took several months to resolve but the time and wait was worth it. I hope to never need Ticket Takedown in the future but if required, I would contact them in a heartbeat!

I had no idea this was even possible and was very skeptical at first. This team has handled everything quickly and efficiently. It’s a fantastic service and I will definitely recommend to others ticketed in the area. Thanks so much for keeping this off of my insurance and points on my record.

Got mine reduced to an equipment violation, so no points added to my license and no insurance premium hikes! That’s a WIN! This was super easy to handle and they made this whole experience stress free. Hopefully won’t have to, but would 100% use their services again. 10/10 recommend!

The team did exactly what they said they would do, and made the process so easy and worry free. The messaging app gave me access to status updates and I got exactly the result I was looking for. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent group of people. Nicholas was able to settle both violations without me needing to think about it. I didn't have to go to court or even leave my house to get it taken care of. Absolutely stress free. Fantastic services, and if you find yourself with a ticket, I highly recommend them.

FAQs

Is TicketTakedown a law firm or lawyer referral service?

No. TicketTakedown is neither a law firm nor an “attorney referral service.” We do not provide legal advice, and we do not make recommendations of any specific lawyer or law firm . Instead, we are a platform and support service that connects users with independent traffic attorneys. Think of us like a concierge: we handle intake, paperwork, and updates, while a licensed attorney from our network provides the actual legal representation. All attorney-client relationships are solely between you and the attorney you engage. TicketTakedown staff may help facilitate communications, but we are not your lawyers.

Who are the attorneys in your network? How are they chosen?

We work with a network of independent, licensed attorneys who focus on traffic ticket defense. These lawyers are carefully vetted for experience and professionalism (we verify their licensure and background). However, TicketTakedown does not “recommend” a particular attorney over another – we simply match you based on your case and location. The attorney who gets your inquiry will review it and reach out to you. You have the choice to engage that attorney or not. If for any reason you prefer a different lawyer, let us know and we will connect you with another attorney if available. Remember, theattorney works for you, not for TicketTakedown, and you are free to decline or change counsel before signing an engagement agreement.

How does the process work once I submit my ticket?

It’s simple and convenient. After you send us your ticket details through our secure form, here’s what happens next:

  • Initial Review: TicketTakedown forwards your information to a qualified traffic attorney licensed in the state where you got the ticket. We'll introduce you to that attorney (usually within a few hours).

  • Engagement: The attorney will likely ask you a few follow-up questions (via phone or through our message portal) and explain the terms of representation (the scope of services and the flat legal fee). You’ll receive an engagement agreement to review and sign. This agreement is directly between you and the attorney– it formalizes the attorney-client relationship.

  • Payment: You will be asked to pay the agreed flat legal fee to the attorney, as well as a separate service fee to TicketTakedown for our platform’s assistance. For your convenience, this may be handled in one combined payment, but it will be split so that the attorney’s fee goes to the attorney’s account (trust account as required) and our fee goes to us. No legal fees are ever shared with TicketTakedown – we only receive our service fee, in compliance with ethics rules . You’ll get a receipt breaking down the amounts.

  • Representation: Once engaged, the attorney will start work on your case – filing paperwork, appearing in court on your behalf, negotiating with prosecutors, etc. Throughout the process, TicketTakedown provides support: we’ll relay messages, remind you of any requirements (like a driving course if needed), and update you on progress. You can message your attorney anytime through our secure platform or call them directly.

  • Resolution: After your case is resolved (for example, your ticket is dismissed or reduced), the attorney will inform you of the outcome and next steps (e.g. pay a reduced fine). We’ll ensure you have copies of any important documents (court receipts, etc.). If a refund is due under our policy (for instance, if the service was unable to assist at all), we will process that promptly. Finally, we’ll ask for your feedback – we strive to maintain a high success rate and client satisfaction.

How are fees structured? What do I have to pay?

Transparency in fees is a top priority. When you use TicketTakedown, you will see two fee components: (1) the legal fee and (2) the service fee. The legal feeis a flat rate charged by the attorney for handling your ticket (this covers the lawyer’s work on your case). The service fee is a platform and administrative fee charged by TicketTakedown for the convenience and support services we provide (such as customer service, payment processing, and use of our technology). We will quote you the total price up front, and also break down how much goes to your attorney versus to TicketTakedown.

For example, you might see: “Total $300 = $250 attorney fee + $50 service fee.” You pay nothing further beyond that total – no hidden charges. Payment is usually collected once you decide to hire the attorney, and it can be done online through our secure portal. Importantly, the attorney’s fee and our fee are kept separate even if paid together, to comply with legal ethics rules (lawyers cannot share fees with non-lawyers) . If you have any questions about the fees or need a payment plan, just ask – we and your attorney will work with you.

What is your refund policy or “money-back guarantee”?

We do not guarantee outcomes (no one can honestly promise to "win" every case). However, we do have a fair refund policy to protect clients. If we cannot connect you with an attorney or the attorney cannot ultimately take your case, you will receive a full refund of any fees paid. If your attorney-client relationship is established but later the attorney fails to perform the agreed services, or you are dissatisfied with how your case is handled, we encourage you to contact us – we will review refund requests on a case-by-case basis in coordination with the law firm. Our goal is 100% client satisfaction, so if something goes wrong in the process, we will make it right, which may include a partial or full refund of the fees you paid. Any refund of the attorney's legal fee will be handled in accordance with your engagement agreement terms (for example, some portion of the fee might be considered earned if substantial work was done). The TicketTakedown service fee is generally non-refundable once the attorney begins work, unless the issue was on our end (e.g., a technical problem or an administrative error). We ensure this policy complies with state ethics rules – unlike an improper "money-back guarantee" tied to winning the case (which some states prohibit as a form of advertising inducement), our refund approach is about customer service, not outcome guarantees. All the details will be spelled out in the engagement letter and fee disclosure you receive before you pay.

Will my communications on the TicketTakedown platform be private? Is it secure?

We take your privacy seriously. Communications on our platform are encrypted and protected by our Privacy Policy. However, because TicketTakedown is not a law firm, messages or information you share with our non-lawyer staff are not protected by attorney-client privilege on their own. That said, when you communicate with your attorney through our secure portal, those communications can be privileged just as if you emailed your lawyer directly, since TicketTakedown is acting merely as a conduit for those messages. We have an Attorney-Client Consent process where you agree that TicketTakedown's team can assist in communications. This allows your attorney to use our staff and systems to help serve you, while maintaining confidentiality. All TicketTakedown personnel are bound by strict confidentiality agreements and work under the direction of the attorneys when handling case-related information. In short: yes, your communications are private and secure. Just be aware that if you discuss legal details with TicketTakedown support staff without your attorney involved, that particular conversation isn't protected by attorney-client privilege. We encourage you to direct substantive legal questions to your attorney, who can respond via our platform. By using our service, you'll sign a consent form acknowledging these arrangements so that your attorney can ethically share information with our platform. We do this to comply with rules in states like Illinois and others that require client informed consent when non-lawyers handle confidential information. Rest assured, we implement industry-standard security to safeguard all data. If you ever prefer to speak to your attorney privately outside the platform, you can do that too.

Are there any special disclaimers or notices I should be aware of?

Yes – we operate in multiple states, and each has ethical rules for legal services. We strive to comply with all of them. Here are key disclaimers and notices:

  • Attorney-Client Relationship: Using TicketTakedown does not create an attorney-client relationship with us. A lawyer-client relationship is only formed after you and the independent attorney both sign an engagement letter.

If you have questions about your lawyer's credentials, we will provide their name, bar number, and contact information for verification.

For example, no state bar has certified any lawyer as a "specialist" via our site (and we do not use such terms). Any testimonials or reviews on our site are from actual clients, but remember they are individual experiences. We also disclose if any imagery or scenario is a dramatization with actors (we'll label"Actor Portrayal" on any such content) to comply with truth-in advertising rules.
